Aren't there those random kinds of food you find appealing/disgusting?
For me, diced green onion bits are a must in noodle soups, wonton soup, etc. Even for fried rice or hot pot, if there happens to be green onions lying around, I'll chop them up and dump it into my bowl and mix it all around. Just like that. Those floating bits of green onion on soups are so... entertainig. If they're not there, then it feels like there is something missing in the dish, even if I can't really taste them in the first place.
On another note, I find berries to be quite unappealing. Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and so on. Maybe it's because the aftertaste is so strong, or perhaps it's just the flavor of berries, I don't know, but berries in a dish/dessert kind of ruins it for me.
